CHESTERFIELD FAMICOM - VIC-CF

FUNGERAR PÅ JAPANSK ELLER REGIONSFRI ENHET

Chester Field (Chester Field: Ankoku Shin heno Chousen?, lit. Chester Field: Challenge to the Dark Gods) is a side-scrolling adventure game developed by Vic Tokai in 1987 for the Famicom. The presentation and gameplay of Chester Field is rather similar to Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. However, the animation is not quite as smooth, and the dungeon design is not as intuitive.

In the game, the hero Kien must explore 8 regions, each of which contain a dungeon with a boss that must be defeated. Beating bosses results in the collection of powerful treasures. Experience points are earned by defeating enemies, but each area has a cap on how strong the player can become. You must advance the player to the next area to overcome the cap. Dungeon exploration is particularly tricky with split levels, "infinite" corridors, one-way doors and non-linear passages (e.g. you pass through a door to go from room A to room B, but passing back through the same door might take you to room C.)
